Who wrote these modules
Laurie Swezey, RN, BSN, CWCN, CWS, founded WoundEducators.com in 2008 after more than a decade at the bedside as a wound care nurse. She holds both of the major wound certifications and has spent 18 years turning the evidence base into practical, exam-level teaching that clinicians actually use. Who can earn credit?
Physicians earn AMA PRA Category 1 Credit and nurses earn ANCC contact hours. Other healthcare professionals receive a certificate of attendance.
What credit do nurse practitioners and physician assistants earn?
NPs and PAs may claim AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™, which AANP and NCCPA accept toward recertification. NPs may claim ANCC contact hours instead if they prefer.
Will my state board accept this for license renewal?
Most state medical and nursing boards accept AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ and ANCC contact hours from a jointly accredited provider. A few states have topic-specific rules, so check your board if you need the hours for a particular requirement.
Is there a test?
Yes. Each module ends with a short post-test. Pass it and the credit claim opens immediately.
How long does access last?
Access to each module runs for 90 days from the date of purchase.
How do I claim my credit?
After you pass the assessment, a “Claim your credit” link opens inside the course. It takes you to CME Outfitters, where you complete a short evaluation (a free CME Outfitters account is required) and print your certificate or statement of credit immediately. Physicians receive AMA PRA Category 1 Credit, nurses receive ANCC contact hours, and other healthcare professionals receive a Certificate of Attendance. Credit is available through the expiration date shown on each module page.
