What You Will Learn
Venous disease causes most leg ulcers, and the failures that drive poor outcomes are practice gaps, not knowledge gaps: ulcers dressed but not compressed, compression below the pressure that heals, and arterial perfusion never confirmed before the limb is wrapped. This module teaches you to recognize chronic venous disease from skin changes and ulcer location, stage the limb with CEAP, confirm arterial perfusion with an ABI before compressing, deliver the compression pressures that actually heal, address superficial reflux to prevent recurrence, and build a lifelong maintenance plan.
