Top 5 Benefits of Online Wound Care Courses

Online Wound Care Courses = Lower Cost

The number one benefit of online courses is the lower cost! WoundEducators.com does not charge any additional technology fees or enrollment fees like traditional universities do. By taking one of our online wound care courses, you will not have to worry about extra fees, purchasing a parking pass, getting a student ID, driving to school, or any other time-consuming things that are associated with a classroom or university. Your one-time course charge covers all materials needed – including e-textbook(s), online access, wound care videos, and certification study guide outline. We also provide online flashcards to help reinforce your new wound care knowledge.

Learn On Your Own Time

In addition to paying less for education, another major benefit of taking an online wound care course is not having to sacrifice your current lifestyle. You can learn about wound care during your lunch break, after work, while the kids are playing, on vacation, or any time that is convenient for you. With a classroom course, class times are limited and may not work with your schedule.

Pick Your Learning Environment

The perks of learning on your own time include picking your environment. Classroom settings can be loud or uncomfortable; you have no control over these factors. If you learn better in a quiet space, or outside, online courses are the way to go. You can access our courses from any smartphone, tablet, or computer in any setting you choose. Whether you learn best in a quiet environment like a library, or in a louder one like a coffee shop, an online course can allow you to learn in your ideal environment.

24/7 Access & Support

Unlike a traditional classroom setting, taking a wound care class online allows you to have access around-the-clock. If you have a question or need help at any point in the course, our WoundEducators.com staff is available to you. Having immediate help is one advantage a classroom course cannot provide – often with classrooms, you will have to wait until the next class session to get help with something you are struggling with. At WoundEducators.com, the classroom is ALWAYS open! Weather, holidays, and other external factors will never limit your ability to learn online like they can with a traditional classroom.

Network of Wound Care Resources

By taking one of our wound care courses, you will have access to a multitude of additional resources. Our network really comes in handy if you do not have a lot of experience or professional connections.

All of our wound care course graduates and current students have access to the WoundEducators.com Job Board. Our board is updated several times a day, showing the latest opportunities to advance your wound care career. Navigating the job board is easy- we allow you to search by job title or location. We host job openings across the world, not just the United States, giving our students and grads as many wound care job opportunities as possible.

To utilize the full capability of our job board, you can also upload your resume to our site, allowing potential employers to find you!

WoundEducators.com also offers a free newsletter to keep up with the wound care industry via a quick email. Our newsletter will showcase any new breakthroughs in wound care, any new product releases, and also keep you up to date with what’s going on here at WoundEducators.com. Get Online & Learn

If you have any reservations about taking online wound care courses, weigh the benefits. Online courses allow you to learn at a lower cost, learn on your own time, give you 24/7 support, and provide you with career resources and networking opportunities.

    1. Hi Amarasinghe,

Thank you for your interest in WoundEducators.com.

You can certainly take our courses from Sri Lanka. We have many international students take our course and achieve wound care certification You will have 6-month access to the online course. Shipment of your training kit is included in the price of the course.

There are no eligibility requirements to take our course. To sit for the certification exam, you will need to show three years of clinical experience. The ABWM defines three years of clinical experience as follows:

“Three years of wound care experience can be acquired over the course of your career. It does not necessarily have to be a consecutive three years. Wound care does not have to be your primary responsibility during that time, as long as you can demonstrate you have had roles related to wound care throughout your career.”

If you do not have the required clinical experience at this time, please contact us so that we can provide you with alternative options.

As an RN we recommend our RN Wound Certification Course.
Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

  2. Hi, I’m otolaryngologist and currently working outside Canada. I have a PR and residing in Edmonton, AB, Canada. My medical degrees (MBBCH & MSc) are from Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt.
I’m interested to get wound care certification courses while working abroad. Would it be possible to get the whole courses and exams online? If so, do you have any study about what would be the market needs in Canada and what would be the average salar?
I would appreciate if I hear from you.
    Kindest regards,
    Hany

    1. Hany,

Healthcare professionals in Canada have the same wound care certification options as USA healthcare professionals do. There is a shortage of wound care certified professionals in Canada, and you will be a valuable asset to any employer by becoming certified. Salary generally depends on the geographic location of the facility, so we cannot provide you with an exact salary estimate.

As long as your active license is valid in Canada and you have the clinical experience required to sit for the exam, you should be able to become wound care certified while abroad. Our courses are 100% online, but they do come with study guides, wound care products, and a textbook for knowledge reinforcement. These are yours to keep and will be shipped to you after you purchase your course. Typically, shipping to Canada takes about 10 business days.
