New Courses: Accredited Wound Care CE Hours, One Topic at a Time

Wound care is a broad field, and not every clinician needs or has time for a full certification course to sharpen their skills in a specific area. That’s why we’re excited to announce a new way to earn continuing education credit with WoundEducators: self-paced, single-topic wound care CE modules, now available 100% online.

New Online Wound Care CE Hours

Launched just this month, our new 100% online CE modules let you build your wound care knowledge one subject at a time. Currently a total of six new modules, you can purchase one or all modules, depending on how many CE hours you need or how many wound care topics you’re looking to explore. 

Six Exciting New Wound CE Courses 

• Skin Anatomy and Physiology (3.0 credits) Rebuild the anatomic foundation every wound decision rests on, from skin layers and the basement membrane zone to angiosomes, innervation, and the body systems that govern healing.
• Wound Healing Science (2.75 credits) — The four phases of healing, the cells and signals that drive repair, and why a chronic wound is biochemically different, not just slower.
• Patient and Wound Assessment (3.25 credits) — History-taking, systematic limb examination, reproducible wound measurement, bedside infection recognition, and the tests that confirm or mislead.
• Venous Leg Ulcers (3.0 credits) — Venous hypertension, CEAP staging, ABI before compression, healing pressures, reflux, and recurrence prevention.
• Arterial and Ischemic Lower Extremity Ulcers (2.5 credits) — Reading the ischemic limb, ABI and toe pressures, distinguishing arterial from venous and neuropathic ulcers, and when revascularization comes first.
• Diabetic Foot and Neuropathic Ulcers (3.25 credits) — Neuropathy, offloading, ulcer classification, infection and osteomyelitis workup, and preventing the recurrence that drives amputation.

Each wound care CE module gives you 90 days of access from the date of purchase, so you can move through the material at your own pace.

Getting started is simple:

1. Buy – Choose a module and check out. Your access starts right away, and all course material is 100% online.
2. Take the module and pass the assessment – Work through the lessons at your own pace, then complete the post-test.
3. Claim your certificate  – Once you pass, claim your credit and download your certificate through CME Outfitters.

Why Single-Topic Wound Care CE Courses?

Our full certification courses remain the best path for clinicians building comprehensive wound care expertise. But we know there are multiple paths to gaining wound care knowledge, and not everyone can commit to a full course right away. Maybe you want a refresher on venous leg ulcers before a new role, or you need targeted CE credit before a renewal deadline. These modules let you get exactly the education you need, when you need it, without paying for or working through material outside your focus area.

Who Can Earn Continuing Education Credit?

The modules are jointly provided by CME Outfitters, LLC and WoundEducators.com. CME Outfitters, LLC is jointly accredited by the ACCME, ACPE, and ANCC to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. Physicians may earn AMA PRA Category 1 Credit, nurses may earn ANCC contact hours, and other healthcare professionals receive a Certificate of Attendance. 

Check the specific module page for its credit details and expiration date before enrolling. After passing the assessment, use the “Claim your credit” link in the course, complete the evaluation through CME Outfitters, and access your certificate or statement of credit. A free CME Outfitters account is required to claim credit.
